The Next Chapter of the Guadalupe Fall Scholastic Book Fair is Here!

This Monday 9/12/16, the Guadalupe Fall Scholastic Book Fair is opening! 

This fundraiser is surely one we can all get behind. The funds we raise at this event go to programs for our Guadalupe students THIS YEAR! Last spring, we met our goal of $10,000, and we can do it again this year…with your help. 

The book fair will have its grand opening after school on Monday, September 12 and will be open every day that week after school until 4pm. On Thursday and Friday, it will also be open in the mornings from 8-9:30 am for parents that are busy in the afternoons. Lastly, it will also be open during the GHSC Ice Cream Social on Friday, September 16 from 6-8pm. 

Start the school year off right by stocking up your children with books at their new reading levels. My children already can’t stop talking about chapter books that their teachers are reading to their class: Magic Tree House, Junie B. Jones, and others alike.

For grandparents and parents that want to participate but can’t make it to the fair in person, the online book fair is at www.scholastic.com/bookfair. It’s a wonderful way for all of us to contribute to making our students lifelong readers and learners. It’s also a good time to think of holiday gifts for family and friends—you will be so far ahead of the game, you’ll be done shopping even before Costco gets its holiday paraphernalia on display! 

Don’t forget that all teachers have baskets of books in the fair that they are hoping you will buy and donate to their classrooms and the Book Fair Team is always looking for volunteers to help make this the best Book Fair yet! Sign-Up Here if you are interested in helping.
